SRCUS Class of 2024 donates $2,900 toward future scholarships

The Southeast Management School Class of 2024 has demonstrated its commitment to the credit union movement by donating $2,900 to support future scholarship funding for the program.

Southeast Management School, the flagship program of the Southeastern Regional Credit Union School (SRCUS), brings together rising credit union professionals from across the southeast for a rigorous three-year professional development experience. Scholarships play a key role in ensuring access to this opportunity, and the class donation adds to the reserve fund supporting that goal.

The SRCUS scholarship program provides up to $3,000 in support per state each year, awarded based on a student’s future management potential, involvement in the credit union movement, positions held, and other supporting criteria. The program is open to professionals from league-affiliated credit unions, and recipients must reapply annually.

“These additional funds from the class will support all scholarship needs across the southeast,” said SRCUS Executive Director Brittani Champlin. “I commend and thank the Class of 2024 for this act of generosity and commitment to the program. This contribution is a direct reflection of the impact SRCUS makes on its students.”

Each SRCUS class raises its own funds to cover additional activities and class needs throughout the program. The Class of 2024 chose to contribute its remaining funds to help ensure access to the program for future students through expanded scholarship support.

“Over the course of our three-year journey, we raised funds through class dues, silent auctions, and by hosting successful events during our second year,” said Brad Kindsfather, Class of 2024 treasurer. “With our donation, we’re grateful for the opportunity to pay it forward and help other credit union leaders experience all that SRCUS has to offer.”

Each of the six southeastern credit union leagues that collaborate to support SRCUS continues to accept scholarship applications for 2025, with deadlines varying by state this spring. Interested professionals are encouraged to contact their SRCUS Advisory Committee league liaison for more information. A full directory is available here.
